My Journey

I’ve been surrounded by art for as long as I can remember, beginning with my older brother. Watching him create first inspired me to pick up a pencil, and that spark stayed with me throughout my life.

Growing up in Birch Bay, Washington, I spent much of my childhood exploring the shoreline in search of small treasures left behind by the tide — sand dollars, hermit crabs, starfish, and anything else hidden beneath the surface. I was drawn to the movement of the ocean, the quiet beauty of marine life, and the feeling of walking endlessly along the shore as the tide rolled out around me.

I later went on to study the technical side of art at Western Washington University, where I earned my degree in Studio Art.

Today, I work from my cozy home studio in the Pacific Northwest, creating watercolor paintings inspired by coastal life, ocean movement, and the quiet magic I’ve always felt near the sea.
